The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 男主他爸的基地只有是个两进的小院子？寒酸的不行不行。合理吗，长生不老好歹能攒点钱吧。“唯爱征服”，结果中国公共安全体系征服不了，美国安全体系征服不了，连美国交通也征服不了😃，想象力也太受限了。
本身质量其实还算及格，但是在众多美式恶搞喜剧熠熠生辉之下有点相形见绌了。
2022-07-18就还可以，有兴趣扒剧的程度，汉堡比基尼不错。

至少在审美以及动作上比《花木兰》强出一大截，三颗星给这首部不需要字幕就能看懂的好莱坞大片吧。
向这种人与动物建立友情题材电影，我都会给满分
一次都没有笑出声来 还怀疑是我的笑点和欧美人有差异的问题 时隔许久选择这部轻松的动画片回到电影院 却觉得自己已经丧失许久那份对影院的热情。

对话有些尬，情节有些太刻意，剧本搞得不扎实，就剩点儿特效还行，漫威这么下去药丸。

Summer, murder mystery, comedy, kids detective, family bond , all in all entertaining.
如果看之前不知道是漫威的，会以为是迪斯尼的。
来说不带剧透的总体印象，全华裔的卡司，所有人都可以说流利的普通话（港普我就不和你计较了），我觉得在现在的好莱坞大制作里已经算是奇迹了，更何况还是Marvel的超英片。中文对白占一半，但刚巧也卡在一个尴尬的位置，里面的人会普通话讲着讲着毫无缘由地就讲英文，我内心就会出戏，os好好的为什么突然切英文？动作戏其实很好看，非常明显地能看出来，混合了成龙功夫片、《卧虎藏龙》、《一代宗师》的风格，于是打着打着我内心又出戏了，想起那些经典的打斗场景。看得出很努力地融入了很多中国元素，依然还是西方视角下的中国。刘思慕圆满完成任务，我觉得很帅啊，又有点小可爱，Awkwafina贡献了大部分笑点，两个人很搭！好像所有人都在夸梁朝伟，我觉得他尽力了。
中文至少算是流利。女主的颜是真的不在点上。男主的肉我可以。演员终究是戏子，电影再讨好原漫画也终究摆在那里。作为魔幻片 剧情还算丰富了。虽然有些地方处理的很傻。彩蛋是下一部奇异博士？不要连累博士在国内上映啊。
越来越讨厌这样天定而不讲逻辑的剧情
没想到，还行。。。比花木兰好得多。台词很别扭，什么时候说中文什么时候说英文没谱。我爱Awkwafina但没搞懂她除了拉票房外在这个故事里存在的意义。片尾训练场的涂鸦好评
由唐人街早餐一段講外婆悼念亡夫，以為「Moving on is so American」，到文武因愛成狂不願放下妻子，最後放燈釋放⋯⋯ 有種被騙的感覺。算了吧，既然自行move on的尚氣也可以算是英雄。
故事老套、特效寒碜、战衣廉价，演员的特点和优势也没能得到很好的发挥，感觉和四五年前的漫威不是个水平，以及……全片造型最别致的面具人竟然哐当一下就领盒饭了！！？？
一阵一阵的好看。转场太生硬旁白太多惹。梁朝伟好tm帅，成年妹妹像王源，青少年哥哥像四字。好多演员都演得好烂，尤其是像王源的妹妹
