The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 大量固定镜头，大量空镜，类纪录片模式，精简的对白，偏严肃题材。这几项元素堆积，让观影难度陡然提升，隔了好几次才看完。表面是反资本主义的现实议题，实则空洞无味，如高级版郭敬明一样感叹金钱魔力罢了。
如果還在用垃圾豆瓣的話，很難消除偏見，而去單純得的評論電影本身。大陸熟悉的伎俩政治捆绑，又被做為政宣工具， 為趙婷感到可悲。
十几岁的时候觉得这种生活方式也不错，自由，淡泊，独立。但有了一定生活阅历后，却觉得这不过是无奈之举，如果可以选择谁不愿意有个家庭，能依偎在伴侣身旁，能与亲朋好友相聚，能享受生活给予的时光。但社会的组建和机制又让许多的人不得不为了生活忙碌奔波，为了体面活着，为了心灵的安宁，他们才不得不选择了一种艰难的生活。

自由 国人不会那么感同身受的， 许知远的十三邀里说， 他们那个年代让父母参与自己的婚姻相亲什么的， 那得都丢人 。 不是强调孰优孰劣， 而是不同从一开始就存在了。
