The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 总体来说完成度较高，但是我还是喜欢内敛一点的原版，这部有点太外放了，男主很多动作和表情辅助演绎情绪外露，可能先看了原版的原因吧
因为手法相似，所以忍不住要和Locke做比较，这部虽然也还可以（非常想吐槽）但是真的不如Locke

完全照搬原版所有的设定对白和镜头 但本片最后的结尾却有些状况之外 唯一胜过的是杰克吉伦哈尔积极戏剧化的表演 平心而论本片不属于难拍的范畴 演员对对白和情绪的把握是片子最核心的基础 本片没有最好的地方在于演员卖力的同时没有把节奏和情绪共同控制调度起来 自然比起原版更加差强人意
6.0，剧本单薄，就看杰克•吉伦哈尔表演了，确实演得好，2014年他那部《夜行者》（nightcrawler）太可怕了，搞得我很多年都不愿意看他的片子，没有道德观念的人太可怕了，所以，真正的理中客应该是不存在的吧？

为什么结尾我会想，他认罪到底是因为经历了这场事件受到感触，还是因为刚才和艾米丽谈话的时候把过失杀人的事情抖了出来，我觉得这段应该有被录下来吧，毕竟是报警电话
一部让人无语透顶的电影 中间的紧张感还行 各种细节和暗示让人误以为会是一部悬疑大剧 然而这些全都是导演的烟雾弹 没有反转没有惊喜 只有莫名其妙割裂的主线和结局 如果把精神病女当做唯一主线放在最后反转可能还算有点意义 这男主的自首是个什么鬼东西啊？？1.5星
断背山里的吉伦哈尔如今更加成熟了，一个人的独角戏，从开始撑到最后。把那种自以为是试图掌控一切，神经质，焦虑，还有得知反转的真相后的悔恨，认罪后的自我救赎，演绎得很有渐进层次。偶尔的近距离特写，能看到他长长浓密的睫毛，还是挺帅，略有沧桑的颜。
场景虽然简单，但是整个故事交代的很清楚，也很有起伏。

封闭空间，单一场景，一个主要演员，加上配角不超过五个人，这电影也太省钱了吧。但是男主个性背景交代不清导致整个人物情绪起伏莫名其妙。一会儿咳嗽，一会儿痛苦，一会儿暴躁，好奇怪。铺垫不够，不知道为什么男主对报警电话里的绑架案反应如此强烈，男主的罪行直到电影结束也没有完整交代，也不存在最后留有悬念反转的情节。
紧跟一下police brutality的热点 不容易 不过这剧本实在一般
这两个神经病可以锁死了。美国片我吐了，泛化人性就是泯灭人性。杰克吉伦哈尔在这里面演技也太夸张了，过度夸张，像个初出茅庐的小演员在过度表演。
表演不错，面部特写非常多，且是独角戏，像是站在舞台中央独自表演的单口相声，起承转合都是他一个人的。
