The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 艺术家短暂的一生，遗憾的爱情，无人理会的才华，贫苦的生活，从痛苦中开出绚烂的花。加菲的表演太动人。比《吉屋出租》完成度高很多，这才是音乐剧电影应该有的样子，音乐和剧情完美融合。

还行。非常强的theater kid风。就看你接不接受这个风格了。但良心话，这片的CG做得太丑了…
过分戏剧化，隐隐约约能看到很多好莱坞传记片的影子。但真情实感被感动，眼泪不值钱。音乐也是真好听。

就是说…没想到美国人的年龄焦虑也这么严重…很喜欢加菲，也喜欢他演绎的这个孩子气神经质的天才作曲家，Vanessa真的是天籁之音。但是可能是因为是传记电影的原因，故事上弱一些。有梦想的人，内心永远幸福闪亮//一定要比的话，我还是更喜欢lalaland，但我还是觉得早晚有座小金人是加菲的。

剧场版观影顺序：
有点失望。歌很好听，而且和声比较丰富，虽没有专门的合唱歌曲那么复杂的声部，但听感还是比迪士尼以及大部分话语音乐剧要立体。
大emo 戏里戏外都太感人好哭了，天妒英才，薪火相传，厚积薄发，时时刻刻。
音符此起彼伏还有快速变更的画面非常流畅，三层结构的创作形式不停地输出一首又一首歌曲反而让剧作失去了节奏，真的真的会让人感到审美疲劳，尽管加菲的表演真诚热烈，但这个故事并不打动人心，即使叙事的材料有九十年代初的伤痛——酷儿苦难和艾滋病，有天才艺术家亘古不变的贫穷与现实辩题，有普通人和天才的选择分歧，最终导演给观众提炼出来的122min还是一个俗套的作品，感觉热情似火却毫无余温。
AG还是更适合舞台，特写下的脸除了苦情再也没有别的情绪，但是肢体确实很好，传记片➕音乐剧片的设置也没有加分太多
