The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 青春是：请给我炒面面包！在飞机上看这部看哭了，谁能想到会被这几个幼稚园小屁孩戳中青春泪点……
第一次看蜡笔小新的剧场版，没想到制作这么精良。故事和元素都很丰富，用屁股思考可还行，简直就是名侦探小新。教育的主题永远不过时，教育阶级化和阶级化教育也是目前的趋势和现状，影片没有给出答案，但是这个议题真的值得思考。虽然是打着幼稚园旗号的成人向动画，身为大叔还是觉得难有共鸣，毕竟青春已经是过去式了。

看完只想说一句小新牛掰，新风万岁！反乌托邦式的场景设定，天才还是庸才的对峙背后是对教育制度的反思，推理追凶的类型模式也带来了新的观影趣味，但核心仍是一贯疯癫热血的喜剧基调，对友情的守护是戏剧推动力，也是让人泪目的情感内核，能把一个剧场版的动画拍到笑中带泪，几十年保持整体的高质量，冲这一点也要向新酱鼓掌。PS:希望隔壁的柯南剧场版可以向小新取取经。
