The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 最可笑的其实是我，竟然把这么烂的电影看完了，也够弱智的。
另一位导演的致敬片，女主都结婚了离开小镇了，又要来烦她。这次是影迷模仿杀人，别说你是影迷，我爱恐怖片也不会这样的。致敬了前几部中的梗，还弄死了盖尔。亚裔姑娘我倒是猜出来了。比较离谱的是这次的女主是第一部里比利的女儿，这个点我还是有点懵逼。
影片里借同名角色还开了纪念party。
经典重回，猜凶手环节烧脑。本以为是女主她妹也是凶手，没想到……两凶手吐槽当今恐怖片的垃圾，想为恐怖片添色，却没想到还是老套路。救妹，男友的那段，我真真真的不想吐槽了，把凶手打倒就不能补一下吗？警察和帅儿领盒饭，哎！好惨啊！想吐槽导演。

无脑智障导演拍出的、逻辑不通的、一点不恐怖的话痨片。
此片有点食之无味，弃之可惜。不说其他的，鬼脸这刀枪不入的身体，临场找机会换衣服的能力真是一绝。最后其实感觉女主是要黑化的，还会有下一部？
well 我觉得电影票房差点就是编剧导演跳出来告诉观众这不是一部传统意义上的续集 谁也别想终结这个ghostface 可说白了还是一部中规中矩的slasher啊…
情怀电影，节奏还是那个节奏，面具还是那个面具，凶手太平庸，没有第三部的女主角惊艳。警长还死了，cnm，编剧。
越来越无聊。把棒交给下一位。这个小镇的人还不走......
悬疑惊悚做得还不错，但结局有没过分滑稽了点，编剧写飘了吧
最适合找人一起看的电影。 不但可以避免一惊一乍的 jump scare 引发心脏病，还可以边看边吐槽，免得被各个角色蠢到憋出中风。
杜威是去送人头的吧，打中之后就应该直接补枪爆头啊，还去拉人。。。
还有永远的开门（包括冰箱）头一偏就能闪现面具人，这特么无语到极致了，兄弟你们的盲区真够大的，怎么开车的？然后。。。。你特么还玩一下长镜头各种开门但是没有面具人？？？？嘲笑大家智商？
脑残粉不满意的remake不能算是remake！
在电影里吐槽自己太多反而就烦了，也罢，反正把人都杀了也可以不用出续集了。
不得不说人物有点蠢，但这种蠢在元电影的框架中又显得有点可爱，整片更像是有惊悚元素的轻喜剧。
脑残粉引发的血案，就是反派女颜值太高而且战斗力太强了，有点舍不得她死
不管是杀人的还是想反杀的，人均脑子有问题。。。
我觉得这片的立意很好，但我不喜欢的是它把什么事都说的特明白，所有的表达都被受害者团和反派用嘴说出来，那就没意思了。含蓄点更聪明。
