The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 非常诗意，超然物外，清贫而高傲的文人情怀。如果不能如白鹤般翱翔于蓝天，那么躺在泥潭里也还能仰望星空。人有信念有理想，生活在什么地方也都是自由恣意畅快的。我们啊，有苏东坡有李白有陶渊明。。。有那么丰厚的历史文化题材，为什么就拍不出来这样的电影哦。
妻子不退缩不妥协，她只要正义。律师为人权而战，他们对抗的是当权者，是体制。
影片中对王朝制度的批判、对出世入世的哲学刻画、对历经生事沉浮后人性光辉困兽犹斗的体现都引人沉思，令人感慨
整个电影的BGM很足，常常弄的人很燃，一开始又好气、如果你想拍一部高分片，找一个善良的弱势群体被欺负的很惨，然后为他们呐喊准能高分。
“不是黑山，而是兹山”，黑白画面变成了蓝天碧海，鲜活跃然眼前。底蕴深厚，看完深感富足。

特別喜歡，這種讀書不為名利，只為求知的故事。雖說百無一用是書生，但書生卻能仰望星空。
經典雋永的主題，動人的故事，水墨般的山水風光……中規中矩、完成度很高的商業電影。其實觀看過程中感觸最深的部分是同類難尋、孤掌難鳴的寂寥感。特別是對月吟詩那幕，「今人不見古時月，今月曾經照古人」。
3.5吧，但确实到不了4，故事还可以，应该算是读书人的浪漫了。但是其实剧情设置得很套路。
不能按照自己心中所想去生活那还是自己想要的么？经历过就会懂得放下吧。
大俗却有大爱，令人感动的电影具有强大的力量。
影片本身有瑕疵，但事实已经足够震撼人心了

一流的剧本和表演。师徒互为对照。年轻的徒弟入仕为官后才懂人微力薄，老师教不会他的，经历把他教会了。无力改善民生，但学过的诗文印在心里，也斩断了同流合污的可能。实现不了经世致用的理想，却能在孤独清净的生活里守心守道。知识在儒学里、在科学里，也在兹山上大大小小的鱼类中。
拍的比较中规中矩，剧作工整，岛上的美景不错。但也因为这种直白，基本没有什么影像的韵味。
