The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 虽说是根据真事改编，但片中情节编得比较过分，煽得过于用力。影片成本不高，场景不大，基本相当于剧场表演。男主、女主两名黑人演员表现不错，演得挺有张力，值得加分。不过其中一些情节编得有些离谱，bug明显，因为借着“释放曼德拉”的由头，导演偏向同情“MK”，赋予他们很多“人性”的细节，让人们对他们最后的结局产生同情。

真实事件改编，借一次所谓的恐怖事件，反映当时南非的种族黑暗……影片的细节刻画也很出色，人性的种种令人唏嘘。
所以卡尔文为什么不能每隔一段时间打伤一个人质以此为危险！
没想到真实发生过？不平等和平等都难处理……

但这类表达反抗的，种族歧视的，战争创伤的故事，却总是让我们不仅要反思，为什么我们会如此激动，为什么我们会感动或愤怒，时代明明在进步，可那些永无休止的问题为何却总是挥之不去，萦绕脑畔
蛮现实的，人人都说“不歧视LGBT”，实际上很多是“与我无关”的不在乎，一但身边存在一部分还是会下意识回避或改变与其相处方式；甚至自己也会小心“划分”朋友中哪个是可以说可以接受的一个。
