The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 东木桑已经91岁高龄。而今识得愁滋味，却道天凉好个秋。全片只有和13岁少年的互相治愈互相救赎。
虽然但是，东木爷爷非要亲自上阵么？走平地都老态龙钟令人担忧，竟然还安排骠悍训马的戏份，还有爱情戏，想不出戏都难。

这无疑是老爷子的谢幕之作，等于说是一部西部版“完美的世界”。从上个世纪炙手可热的好莱坞巨星，再到独具一格的电影巨匠，东木老爷子经历了太多坎坷，其中最艰难的是和好莱坞的右派势力斗争，可现在电影里，他呈现的是迟暮和衰老，或许他真的应该休息了。
感觉这两年老爷子拍的电影全是他自己想体验或向往的生活 但这部片子老爷子的幻想太无趣了
故事虽不够厚重，但老爷子90+了，要啥自行车，还给自己安排了甜蜜蜜。超级喜欢他

看完最大的感触：东木老爷子得有多怀念那个逝去的时代啊。 无论拍多少其他类型的片子，总要回归到牛仔的日子里去。东木和我外公同年生人，我外公已经患阿尔兹海默症，我再也无法从他口中听更多他年轻时的故事。东木还在不倦的恋着那个时代，还硬硬地挺在那里，他一定很爱。
