北野武自传电影的第二部泪目之作，也是回忆师徒关系的第二部，前一部是讲他年轻时落语师傅的《红鳉鱼》。
确实是近些年看过最好的国产战争片了。就那么一个山坡发生的故事，惊心动魄。好几次剧情反套路，看得揪心。最后也真切感受了战争的残酷以及和平的不易。章宇和年轻演员们演的真好！

场面很小，但是给人的震撼不小，就像电影里说的，这场仗只是发生在一个小角落里，可几十年前正是有了无数个小角落里的胜利才有最终的胜利。
张艺谋导演拍摄的纪念抗美援朝的电影，整部电影几乎采用四川方言，很有熟悉的感觉，以小人物为出发点，以小见大，与传统的电影相区别，挺不错，很好看！
