The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 3.5 不知道是否是因为此乃沪上近期硕果仅存的非院线，觉得观感高于6.5分，一老美、一老墨、一公鸡的公路片，即使结局谁都能预料到，即使谈不上很强的情节性，可是这路上的萧条美墨边境小镇竟有几分超脱世俗的遁世的魅力，生活简单居民淳朴食物也不错，也许在圣母的庇护下，所有过去的伤痛和不堪得以掩埋；遥想很久很久很久以前少年自己的观影初期看到泪奔的《完美的世界》，也想起去年电影节大银幕又拜过了老爷子正年轻帅呆的镖客三部曲，心头突然升起万般感触，珍惜东木头吧，有几人能陪伴观影旅程那么多年，又有几人可以目睹他戏里戏外逐渐年华老去

full of grace的老年公路片，也只有这高龄自己演才能行了
其实看到东木这位91岁的老牛仔依然是活跃在大银幕上已经足够让我感动了，本片是延续《完美的世界》的公路片模式，但是把情节进一步简单化，没有强烈的冲突，只有一位迟暮的老驯马师对一个小屁孩的人生教诲，也是献给自己的一个童话。边境风光很美，配乐很动人，雄鸡也很上镜，一切都那么简单质朴。（7/10）
3星，东木大爷的小成本片， 老爷子演了一辈子戏。经典无数，烂片也一堆，早已放下了名利释然一切，片子简单欢愉，体现了 老爷子的自得其乐。有这份老年人的童真乐趣，想不长寿也难啊。

幼稚，低幼，给五岁小孩儿看得，不能再大了，再大一点的孩子怕是也坐不住
东木拍一部少一部了，真不该把精力浪费在这样平庸的项目上，与《骡子》和《理查德朱维尔的哀歌》相比创作力是断崖式的下滑。但一些片段还挺感人的，“我不知道怎么治愈老”，“男子气概被高估了，它没什么了不起的”。
