The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 意外還不錯，比花木蘭好多了。看得出很想討好華裔觀眾，結果因為莫名其妙路滑沒在大陸上映。陳法拉和梁朝偉這麼優良的基因生出了劉思慕，楊紫瓊還對他說他長得和陳法拉很像，我要笑死。張夢兒很颯。看到香港演員元華，梁朝偉和陳法拉都登上好萊塢的舞台覺得很驕傲。
没想到梁朝伟的角色亲自在台词里吐槽了前期的风评 好有意思 有点像卧虎藏龙风格的科幻片 男女主角虽然长得不够好看 但绝对是漫威系列电影里最幽默最傻缺的存在 凡事举重若轻 确实是东方文化里的高人 全片最好笑的是男主和父亲对立的逻辑 典型美国思维 父亲的仇家杀死了母亲 男主不怪仇家反而怪父亲害死母亲 男主他爸自己不在家导致妻子被害 他不怪自己反而怪男主七岁的时候眼看着母亲遇害不动手 这两个人迁怒的本事一看就是亲生的 PS 本来觉得男主他爸安排直升机给他去执行任务简直太帅了 直到看到男主他妈的家族坐骑是龙 格局顿时打开了

sorry爱看动画片的我觉得这真不行，评价是还不如外太空的莫扎特、、、
中华文化大盘点。功夫、水灯、《山海经》里的各类神兽、桃花源、阴阳哲学……虽然有一点点不伦不类，但整体上的视觉呈现兼具想象力、气象与质感，依然顶级。故事上比较套路，弑父主题。但这次，故事是服务于文化元素拼贴的。
吃个午饭的功夫表示大家一起快进看完速战速决，结果都在公交车那幕写着论文的笔记本被切断时心疼不已惨叫出声痛彻心扉
其实我也不知道尴尬在哪，但就像我一眼能认出这个男主不是个真正中国人一样，长期在另一种地缘下的文化样貌也是如此。另外：可能是我主观、片面，但后来偶然发现即便是之前说尚气选角的另一个人林路迪，一眼看着也不像，查了一下果然还是加拿大华裔。
动作戏不错，剧情无聊跳着看，选角一言难尽。女主角像饭堂洗碗工，声音超难听；男主角虽然身手不错，但形象连电视剧版超级英雄都比不过……就是完全不像超级英雄……电影整体观感比较差。
好看！居然没有扑街，是带朋友去看，从影院出来还是觉得没选错电影，朋友要是觉得不好看是他们的问题的那种。几个人物的转变都比较完整，虽然我不喜欢bobs burger里的歌舞片段，到这里也没有很难忍受。只是电影里难道是为了凸显是电影不一样，有很多明暗对比比平时强烈很多的迷之画面，无法欣赏

也是看看山海经里的几个怪物行，剧情什么玩意，找的华人都什么玩意，美国人对华人的审美水平太感人了。
1.我的注意力都在陈法拉和梁朝伟的人设和故事上，不晓得是服化道问题还其他，两位都好显老气，竹林邂逅那场戏简直是“老气横秋”，然后老套路，他们相爱了[doge]陈法拉的死和梁朝伟的心结，让我想起来黄药师和冯蘅，问题是关于他们爱情，就像老流氓谈恋爱了，没仙气的中女莫名其妙抛弃族人嫁给了老流氓[允悲]
很有意思的一部动画电影，虽说剧情有点简单，但是里面每个人都各有特点，喜剧效果也很到位，再加上音乐也很优秀，所以总的来说是非常优秀的。
尚气不接下气
只要镜头给到梁朝伟，眼神表情都是戏，这个人太厉害了！
自复联四的辉煌后，漫威电影在中国市场至少评分上明显有走低的趋势。观众可能真的是审美疲劳了。另一方面，因为演员长相而辱骂攻击的，到底是有多敏感且自卑，这明显是不自信的表现。
疝气的传奇故事刚刚开始，不过我已经开始脚痒难耐了。
