Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'

这绿森森神经兮兮的风格不会是a24出品吧……寓意重于一切，结尾过于奇观，我真的没有见过世面……

creeps the MEN out of me
画面好美，摄影好强，堪称英国乡村旅游风光片。在我看来讲述的仍然是现代女性如何在男性布局之下突出重围，从一开始的感情开始，女主就在尽力走出失败的感情，本来女主没有错，对象硬是有病说是女主害的。所有的男人都是同一张脸，所有的男人都是对象的化身，简单来说，女性还是需要更多的power，窥视，擅闯，不负责，这些都是女性在现代社会需要面对的。不过相比之下故事性真的较弱。
节奏缓慢、诡谲、晦涩，无疑是本片最大的问题，但在加兰创造的美学体系中显得非常融洽，由浅至深的几重含义也在荒诞恐怖的故事中完成表达
居然有这么多人在今天凌晨看完整个cult电影。前面很美。
森林铁路段落拍的挺引人入胜，剩下的桥段就几乎都是为了概念落实成单一明确指向而进行的疯狂忙碌了。
这部电影的解读空间是如此之大，大到所有的空镜头，所有的绿色景观；这部电影的解读空间又是如此之小，小到不知道为什么一句话能说完的事情能拍成一百分钟。如果你的镜头内容不为你的主题服务（或者说主题压根撑不起镜头内容和语言），那请问去掉bgm, 你还能剩下些什么。。
各种隐喻，各种画面，模糊且独特
诡异邪典，恶心，男人男人，头晕，压迫，暴力，漠视，不适
带着文艺气质的心理惊悚，后半部分直接cult氛围拉满，口味轻的同学慎看……五星推荐，把女性对男性恐惧的沉浸感，做得特别好。画面，音效，氛围，美的令人心醉，惊悚的使人毛骨悚然。在这样的夏天，真的相当消暑降温了。

A24真有东西👍🏻，独立电影界宝藏啊，这部有灯塔的味道了，也是嘉兰最实验最文艺的一部作品
虽然是恐男片，但女主角人设如此单薄工具人……
