The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 虽然故事讲明白了，但是略显无聊，不够吸引人。
The first part in B/W could be seen as a journey to bid his brother a moving adieu by transporting the ashes of Pirandello, whose works have been adapted by the brothers, to his Sicilian homeland. Whereas the second part in color is quite confusing for us who have never read the story before. The shift from grey to color is poetic though

我不想做一个标准要求及其高的观影人哦！其实这个片子也就三星的水平，可是我真的好喜欢狗狗，看到狗狗的片子就会毫不犹豫点开。世界上如果真的有红色狗狗也不错！

诚然影片中段我也想把导演吊起来陀螺般抽打，但此片的前40分钟和结尾，通篇神话寓言的呈现，非常接近我心目中理想的电影……意象、背景、配乐、光影、调度、表演、布景。未经准备的少年在懵懂中踏上试炼之旅。高文的黄粱一梦，剪接中光阴如白驹过隙。

合家欢类儿童片，狗狗很可爱，但是有些镜头失真。
剧情的确较低龄化，阖家观赏的作品。我也单纯只是来看这一只狗，这只狗的确很可爱！！故事就是简单明了，不过为了小狗是可以的。6.4/10
长篇叙事诗。导演野心很大，敢用亚瑟王圆桌骑士的故事玩meditation，听说借鉴了塔可夫斯基的《安德烈•卢布廖夫》，学习尚未成功，还有继续努力的空间，还可以再大胆一点。
