The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 故事讲的不够完整，甚至有点啰嗦，但好在气氛做的够足，颇有当年《谍影重重》的味道。
这人性刻画的还行，就是为啥不敲一点下来先走
一个和尚有水喝，两个和尚没水喝，这个道理看来适用所有人。从信任，背叛，贪婪到扼杀，最后还有大自然的因素，沙尘暴和鬣狗团。躲得过初一躲不过十五，一切根源都是因果。搭配冷色调的画面，揭示了人性的寓言故事。最后的➹则是螳螂捕蝉黄雀在后的道理。
历史上很多悲剧都是来自于淘金热。比如《泰坦尼克号》？
前戏太长，故事单薄，为啥要做掉主角？为啥一帮拿着美国护照的b可以在德国街头打CS？为啥最后大暴斯是谁都不知道就干死了个承包商，还搭进去了配角兄弟的命？难道就因为他说过类似我死了你帮我带口信给家里人这种不吉利的话吗？干嘛对配角的话这么较真，非得弄死人家？主角你tm后来带信了嘛？
剧情太慢, 有点拉胯, 故事讲不好, 又没有特效支撑.
前半段虽然节奏缓慢，整体开局很不错，陆战队员也会有人到中年的困境及对家庭的责任。
