The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 豆瓣早已不是从前那个豆瓣了，连基本影评都要删，网无可恋！以前偶尔还买下豆瓣市集的东西支持一下，可如今的网络，如果一样东西没有什么特别的了，那它是可以被同样的东西所取代的。

班会和表彰大会的剧情让人手脚蜷缩，味儿太正了。全片最精华的台词：「现在，漫画、电视剧之类常出现同性恋设定，大家装出一副理解的样子，然而实际出现在面前，不还是充满好奇？难道没有把他代入某个角色看待吗？」
不知道自由是什么，反正需要付出一切，也许还不一定能得到。
最后一幕拍的真好。whats the price of freedom? everything.

从影片中可以看出，导演和编剧带有一定的倾向性，落脚点是对种族运动的支持和同情，因此，对三名参与者在行动过程中所采取的行动，具有一定的美化意思。选取的几个角色也各有特点，三个为自由而战斗的“同志”，一个对种族问题有同情心的警察队长，一个司法部部长的女儿，具有深切的宽容、同情心，还有一个极力掩饰自己人种的混血儿等。影片的主题是把一场预先谋划的袭击案转化为一场不可预料的种族问题讨论会。
