The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 展现出姐姐已经不在了这个事实的时候其实是这部电影的情绪高潮，但这部分却一笔带过，而且过于前置，加我了太多类型的情感，这让情绪找不到爆发点，看起来就像一堆素材的堆砌。另外男主实在太老了，林允儿勉强能装这个嫩。
允儿真的好美啊……天才少年也会有缺点甚至是弱点，会有隐藏在心里悲苦的一面，但遇到了一个阳光小美女，一切都被渐渐点亮。修车站，只有自己看得到的姐姐，父子和解。
姐姐的身份能藏到结尾再揭晓会更好一点。

多一些童话与童心

演员不合适角色，人物架空，故事也就失去吸引力了。。。
影片洋溢着亲情的温暖，善良的伟大和坚持的力量，有兄弟姐妹的人生才算完整啊。
前半部分情节有点拼接式的散碎 但不得不说这一类的韩国电影对于深刻沉重的感情描述 总能以合理、有趣、生活的方式去表达 不矫情又恰到好处 很赞
平缓叙事，很慢，也很宁静，虽然悲伤，但有夏天的味道，一切都是阳光的！
越长大 越喜欢童话
看到开头就猜到故事走向了，温情小清新，韩影惯有套路，女一应该是姐姐吧，允儿这戏份太少了
但是！林允儿这个角色，意义在哪儿？？？去首尔之后她就不太出现了？？？
背负着母亲和姐姐死亡的自责的父子，天才少年功夫不负有心人带领村民建成了简易车站两元站。
和姐姐对戏时通篇没有第三视角，直到最后男主离乡的列车，空荡荡的车厢，才给了姐姐在与不在的对比镜头。
开头是特别美好的青春恋爱喜剧，到中间就变得有点诡异了，男主有点精神分裂的感觉，结尾后面竟然又变成家庭情感大戏，这豆瓣的评分真的有点看不懂，三星6分最多了。
说不上什么奇迹，感觉更多的是靠努力和天赋完成的。有点类似十月的天空。
