The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 这就是老爷车＋骡子。东木以九十岁高龄任然奋战在电影前线，虽然年纪大了，少了铮铮铁骨的男人气概和愤怒，开始卖弄温情，但骨子里还是典型的牛仔。这部也是如此，缺少波澜，冲突不够，戏剧张力缺乏，和他以往的几部作品比较，这部明显平庸了，但这个年纪情有可原，毕竟东木大叔看一部少一部吧。
典型的公路题材电影，可惜没有多少闪光点，有点太过细碎和泛泛。

电影本身两星都够呛，但是还能看到老东木，就不敢再做奢求。

90岁还能谈恋爱，太强了。
缓慢如水，波澜惊起却又迅速翻涌而过，只留下墨西哥的黄沙和挤进酒馆缝隙的阳光。
结局很像东木为自己电影生涯画上的句点，一个美妙到刻板、不真实的墨西哥童话故事。
这么大岁数了真不容易！还得演副线的感情戏。哈哈哈。老当益壮。

单论电影，节奏非常平淡和缓，寓意也那么直白，在我看来，是一路的反高潮。但因为是克林特的作品，全程感受到的是和蔼的温柔。不是缅怀，不想说教，而是，就任车这么开，走到哪停哪，遇到谁就聊一聊，到达目的地之前，任旅程平缓还是颠簸，任生活刺激还是散漫。
东木老爷爷，棒棒哒！！硬汉的晚年，还是很硬，但也有老房子着火的时候，会给小动物看病，真是积德的好事啊，积来了好运气。哈哈哈，据说91的老爷爷了，抱着小公鸡回去找女朋友了，棒！！！
