剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     能有机会与资源为自己、家人、家乡拍这样一部电影，无论如何是值得羡慕的。影像、节奏、音乐的选择都精心设计过。精致，精致略过。从电影里第一次了解到新教“到底怎么看天主教”，也回忆起以前看过的好些关于北爱尔兰的片子。不知道那个地方现在如何了。电影总体还行，不过它对于导演本人的意义应该大于对于大众的。

    What works还是1969年北爱尔兰这个历史性的背景，把影片的深度和维度都拔高了，(thanks to当年写过Derry Girls 3000字essay 还算有了解)。Kenneth Branagh再次证明是个mediocre导演；摄影方面的deep focus, 构图有点公民凯恩的风格，但挺不适合这种家庭回忆的drama... still, rooting for Caitriona Balfe to get that Oscar!
